Day 6: Every State and 100 Nations - A Shared Vision

  • Isaiah 54:1–2 (NIV84) “Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the LORD. “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.
  • Romans 15:20–21 (NIV84) It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation. Rather, as it is written: “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.”

Years ago, a small church gathered to pray over a map. They didn’t have a large budget or a big staff, but they believed God was calling them to think beyond their walls. As they laid hands on different regions, God began to speak. Over time, they helped send a missionary, supported a church plant, and partnered with other congregations to reach new areas. Their reach extended far beyond what they could have imagined at the beginning.

Open Bible’s vision of life-giving, disciple-making, Spirit-empowered churches in every state and 100 countries is bold. On paper, it might look impossible. But it reflects the heart of a God who tells His people to “enlarge the place of your tent” and “spread out the curtains of your dwelling” (Isaiah 54). It reflects the passion of Paul, who longed to preach Christ where He was not yet known (Romans 15).

This vision is not just for the national office; it belongs to all of us. Every Open Bible church has a part to play. Some will plant directly. Others will send people or help fund. Others will partner through prayer, coaching, or encouragement. But the call is shared.

As we fast and pray in this season, ask the Lord: “What is our church’s part in this vision?” Maybe God will nudge your heart toward a particular state or city where there is no Open Bible presence. Maybe you’ll sense a burden for a specific nation. Maybe God will highlight an individual or family in your congregation who is being called to go.

Let’s allow the Holy Spirit to stir not just personal renewal, but a missional imagination for new places, new works, and new nations.

Prayer Focus:

  • Pray for new Open Bible churches to be planted in unreached or under-served communities in the U.S. and globally.
  • Pray for current and future church planters and missionaries in our movement.
  • Ask God to show you which state, city, or nation your church should especially carry in prayer.

  • Romanos 15:20–21 (NVI84) Siempre me he propuesto anunciar el evangelio donde Cristo no es conocido, para no edificar sobre fundamento ajeno. Más bien, como está escrito: «Los que no habían recibido noticia de Él lo verán, y los que no habían oído entenderán».

Hace años, una pequeña iglesia se reunió para orar sobre un mapa. No tenían un gran presupuesto ni un gran equipo, pero creían que Dios los estaba llamando a pensar más allá de sus propias paredes. Al imponer las manos sobre diferentes regiones, Dios comenzó a hablar. Con el tiempo, ayudaron a enviar un misionero, apoyaron una plantación de iglesia y se asociaron con otras congregaciones para alcanzar nuevas áreas. Su alcance se extendió mucho más allá de lo que jamás habrían imaginado al principio.

La visión de la Biblia Abierta de iglesias vivificantes, que hacen discípulos y están llenas del poder del Espíritu en cada estado y 100 países es audaz. En el papel, puede parecer imposible. Pero refleja el corazón de un Dios que le dice a Su pueblo: “ensancha el lugar de tu tienda” y “extiende las cortinas de tu morada” (Isaías 54). Refleja la pasión de Pablo, quien anhelaba predicar a Cristo donde aún no era conocido (Romanos 15).

Esta visión no es solo para la oficina nacional; nos pertenece a todos. Cada iglesia Open Bible tiene un papel que desempeñar. Algunas plantarán directamente. Otras enviarán personas o ayudarán financieramente. Otras se asociarán a través de la oración, el acompañamiento o el ánimo. Pero el llamado es compartido.

Mientras ayunamos y oramos en esta temporada, preguntemos al Señor: “¿Cuál es la parte de nuestra iglesia en esta visiónQuizás Dios te guíe hacia un estado o ciudad en particular donde no hay presencia de la Biblia Abierta. Quizás sientas una carga por una nación específica. Quizás Dios te muestre a una persona o familia de tu congregación que esté siendo llamada a ir.

Permitamos que el Espíritu Santo despierte no solo una renovación personal, sino una imaginación misional para nuevos lugares, nuevas obras y nuevas naciones.

Enfoque de Oración:

  • Ora por nuevas iglesias Open Bible que sean plantadas en comunidades no alcanzadas o desatendidas en los Estados Unidos y a nivel global.
  • Ora por los actuales y futuros plantadores de iglesias y misioneros dentro de nuestro movimiento.
  • Pide a Dios que te muestre qué estado, ciudad o nación debe llevar especialmente tu iglesia en oración.
