Relationships are crucial to health.
When God said “it is not good for a man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18) He then created a helpmate for Adam, someone who would develop and complete him, provide input and reflection, and anchor him with a means of human accountability. Similarly, ministers and churches need relationships that provide strength beyond self, nurture, camaraderie, and the safety of accountability.
Open Bible Churches is an association of churches and ministers. We are a relational family of like passion, longing to see lives transformed through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. While independence away from a formal relationship can seem appealing to a church or minister it can also become lonely, especially in time of need.
Belonging to the Open Bible family provides a church or minister an umbrella of balanced doctrine that is both evangelical in belief and is in pursuit of empowerment through the Holy Spirit. Open Bible provides a recognized identity and covering. Its reputation is one of openness and respect for the greater body of Christ; its financial practices are marked by integrity, as regularly validated by independent, professional auditors. Becoming part of Open Bible enables churches and ministers to connect with others in pursuit of a common, clear mission to make disciples, develop leaders, and plant churches. By collaborating with other Open Bible churches and ministers a church’s individual efforts are multiplied and extended in reach.
Belonging to the Open Bible association offers a framework for developing mutually affirming relationships across the nation and around the globe. Open Bible also provides a caring leadership covering, experienced oversight, and accountability. This means a church or minister does not have to act alone when in need and yet maintains freedom to reach the local community without an organizational structure dictating how that is to be accomplished.
