Our Trinidad and Tobago Open Bible Church Missions Director has informed us that our Open Bible people and churches have suffered significant damage from Hurricane Beryl. The Caribbean islands most affected were Grenada and Saint Vincent. In Petite, Grenada, it is estimated that 80% of the houses and buildings were severely damaged or destroyed. About 900 people affected and most of the island is sheltering. In Cannonau, Saint Vincent, 100% of the island's population (12,600) has been affected. An estimated 90% of homes were significantly damaged or destroyed. Our Open Bible families in these areas need our help.
We are partnering with OBSC Trinidad and Tobago to provide the urgent help needed to provide basic supplies such as water, food, blankets and other items. We also need to help repair serious damage to the churches and homes of our Open Bible families in these disaster areas.
