Breath of Life Christian Church, pastored by Frank and Renita Collins, is located in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Breath of Life Christian Church is a community of believers dedicated to spreading the love of God to all people, representing the very nature of God and His power in all that they do. With the Word of God as their foundation, they train and equip leaders, helping individuals to know and understand their giftings and how each person plays a part in expanding the kingdom of God. Pastors Frank and Renita implement effective outreach ministry that meets not only the spiritual, but also the physical and emotional needs of the local community.
Frank and Renita were both born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. They currently reside in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit which is on the northeast border of Detroit. They live in the Six Point Quadrant where Detroit and five other suburbs all come together. The economics of the cities range from lower class to very affluent. The infamous 8 Mile Road, which local famous rapper Eminem lived near, separates Detroit from the suburbs and serves as a separation of peoples and cultures, a rift so to speak. Frank and Renita believe GOD has called them to stitch up this divide, by being a part of GOD healing relations between the city and the suburbs for the cause of Christ. The Breath of Life Christian Church’s motto is: “Imperfect People Introducing Imperfect People to a Perfect Christ”.
Frank is a Graduate student at Moody Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan, pursuing a Master of Divinity degree. He loves to teach and preach the word of God in a way that is both practical, relevant, and applicable to all people. Renita is the Worship Leader at Breath of Life Christian Church. She also is a student at Rochester College, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology. She loves to encourage and equip individuals to overcome any obstacles in order to become their personal best for the glory of God. She is also the author of two books, 31 Days of Focus and Persevere.
The Collins have been happily married since October 10, 1998 and blessed with five wonderful children: Andrew, Kimberly, David, Frank III and Raina. Frank is a Semi-Retired Master Plumber/Plumbing Contractor and Renita is a hairstylist. They truly love God and people! It is their hearts desire to unite and influence all people through God’s love and by God’s Word!
