The Holy Spirit inspired George and Sarah Williams with a big vision to love their neighborhood as they love themselves. They purchased an old, dilapidated funeral home in the Five Points neighborhood of Toledo, and transformed “The Lewis House” from a place where the dead were laid to rest to an outreach ministry brimming with new life. Intentionally serving the community has provided the couple a platform to share the love of Jesus with their neighbors. As people have come to the Lord, the Williams have seen the need for a culturally relevant, transformative, balanced church that loves God, loves people, and has in its core DNA an outreach focus. God has answered George and Sarah’s prayer for such a church by placing the call of “church planters” upon their lives. They are confident both of their call and of the need for CityLight Church in their community, where new believers can pursue Christ, learn to worship Him, and grow in Him.
