PURPOSE STATEMENT: Mobile Kingdom Builders will glorify God in providing opportunity for retired people, and those free to travel, to continue using, or developing their occupational talents, by volunteer labor on small and pioneer churches.

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
"Talent, Time and Travel for Jesus"
The Mobile Kingdom Builders are a group of men and women, retired or free to travel, who are committed to working on churches or church related buildings, as an ancillary group of volunteers, under the covering of Open Bible Churches, Des Moines, Iowa.

"Mobile Kingdom Builders," sometimes called, "Recreation Vehicle (or R.V.) Mobile Kingdom Builders," are committed to helping the small churches and pioneer churches with labor for specific building or remodeling needs.

This volunteer group is an endeavor to please God, bless the churches, and to fill a void in the needy area of church buildings. It also allows the retired construction worker a way to continue their involvement in the work of God's Kingdom through their individual "talent, time, and travel for Jesus."

Some of those involved are tradesmen with many years of experience and knowledge in building and construction. However, some know very little about building, but are helpers who are willing to be involved. Most are pleased to be called, "jack of all trades, master of none." All, regardless of abilities, work together in harmony to complete a given project.

Individual involvement is on a strictly volunteer base. No one receives a salary, travel expense, or reimbursement of any kind. None is expected or accepted. All those in this program cover their own expense of travel, R.V. park rent, insurance, food and personal care.

The church, region, or district requesting help must guarantee the funds for the materials, and provide any large equipment needed in excess of ordinary power and hand tools.

The church is asked to provide parking space, water, and electricity for all vehicles. A few churches have prepared a main meal each day or once or twice a week, but this is not required.

Several churches have donated to the group for administrative and promotion cost, which is helpful. Most of these expenses have been borne by several people involved in the program.

Mobile Kingdom Builders are organized and functioning in the Pacific Region of the Open Bible Churches and anxious to have active groups in each of our regions. They have worked on churches from the Canadian border south to Tijuana, Mexico.

Specific areas of involvement have been at: Mountain Valley Chapel, Gold Bar, Washington; Summit View Open Bible Church, Tacoma, Washington; New Hope Open Bible Church, Tacoma, Washington; Church of the Open Bible, Redding, California; Crossroads Church of the Open Bible, Sacramento,
California; Church of the Open Bible, Santa Barbara, California and Tijuana, Mexico.

The most exciting and rewarding part of this volunteer work is to receive news a year after completing each project, that the church is doing well, growing and increasing each week. God is blessing the work of the Mobile Kingdom Builders. There is a continuing request for "Involvement Applications." Tradesmen and common laborers seem to be looking for a place to be involved. There is a need for leaders and workers to become involved and organize this program in the other regions of Open Bible Churches. Many old churches and buildings can be refurbished to accommodate people as they worship.

Those interested in being leaders or laborers in this tremendous opportunity of "Talent, Time, and Travel for Jesus" should call or write. We will be delighted to assist.
