How To Accurately Designate Gifts
It is very important to the Department of International Ministries
to accurately handle funds that are sent to us and maintain
a high level of integrity. We always will use your gifts as
you have designated them as we continually strive to be good
stewards. If there is ever a doubt or a need for clarification
we will call the donor. We suggest that the following information
be given to church treasurers or to those in charge of finances
at the church. Here are the different ways you may designate
your gifts:
General Missions
Funds are used for the general support of Open Bible's missionaries
and missions outreaches around the world.
Support of an Individual Missionary
Funds received designated for a specific missionary's support
are applied to his/her personal support.
Missionary's Designated Missions Account
Funds received on behalf of a missionary designated for equipment,
airfares, shipping or other projects for his/her ministry
are deposited in his/her account to be used on the field as
designated.
Special Offerings
Funds designated for the International Harvest Offering (combined - former International Outreach Offering and International Relief Offering) or any other special project are used as designated.
Endowment Fund
An endowment fund has been established by the Department.
Funds received are invested conservatively. Only the interest
is used for mission projects approved by the Board of International
Ministries. Memorial funds in memory of a loved one or special
gifts to the fund are an excellent way to invest in the Kingdom.
The initial gift is preserved and will produce interest income
for ministry projects for many years to come.
